The year was 1969, the Transport Industry was changing, and customers were demanding lighter tare weights with greater payloads.
It was in this year that T&G pioneered and manufactured the "very first" aluminium body to be built in NZ.
It was a breakthrough in tare weight, critics said "it wouldn't last and wasn't strong enough", yet we challenged that disbelief and proved them wrong!
