Building Extensions

T&G BUILDING EXTENSIONS NOW COMPLETE

Transport and General have just completed workshop extensions.
Due to our growing customer base it was again necessary to extend the workshop facility to accommodate new builds. The extension has added an extra bay to the R&M division plus 3 extra bays for completion of new units and final quality control sign off before delivery takes place.

Over the years we have expanded our operation to ensure we continue to meet challenges and perform consistently to the high expectations of our customers.

We will continue to provide you our customers with the high level of service and attention to detail that you have come to expect from T&G.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our Transport Trailer product.

Front Entrance

The Transport & General Engineering Ltd main entrance has also been enhanced by landscaping and new signage.
We have established new gardens along the front of the premises with the theme of “ROCKS”. This reflects our association with the construction and quarry industry.
Some of the larger rocks have customer plaques on them.
Transport & General have been associated with a number of these clients for over 50 years and we are very proud of this.
Extra car parking has also been carried out to accommodate our growing staff, customers and suppliers.

Repairs Division

REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE DIVISON

Our Repairs and Maintenance division is an important and integral part of our business and we place a great deal of importance on backing up our Transport Trailer brand.

We have now extended this division by an extra bay so when accidents happen or repairs are required we are able to carry out the work even more quickly and efficiently.

Time is money! and when your Transport Trailer equipment is off the road it’s downtime for your company. Wayne Arnel and his team will ensure your equipment is back on the road as soon as possible.
We pride ourselves on the high level of service you have come to expect from T&G over the years.

Winstone Aggregates Rock Bodies

Winstone Lime-Rock Bodies

Transport & General Engineering Co. have recently designed and manufactured specialized rock body units for one of our valued Customers.

Winstone Aggregates placed an order with T&G for eight identical units; these units operate out of Whangarei and are making 7 to 8 trips of approximately 60km per day carting Lime Rock into Portland cement works

One of the key factors in the body design was the requirement to withstand the loading and tipping of large lime rock boulders. To meet these requirements the company recommended the use of high tensile Bisplate 80.

Winstone National Transport Manager Brett Horrobin worked very closely with T&G on the design of these units and after several meetings and site visits it was decided that the bodies would be equipped with high opening tail-doors. Two pneumatic rams operate the doors; these keep the door clear of the payload during the entire tipping process and allow unrestricted dispatch of product.

Brett Horrobin specified that high quality and reliable running equipment be fitted to the Transport Trailers and the Company has fitted ROR CS9 Air Suspensions with Disc brakes, Delta hoists and Knorr-Bremse ABS braking systems.
