Sports Uniforms
These photos are of the children of Yasawa School that T&G financially sponsor.
These sports uniforms have been paid for by The Burson family of TATES. The school is very proud of the new uniforms and they have sports days with the other 3 schools on the island.
We are currently working with TATES again this year to further improve life for these children and their school in this very remote part of Fiji.

Xmas Party
These photos are of the school children at Yasawa School that T&G financially sponsor. The 10 children in the front 2 rows are the “Top 10” children at the school.
T&G sponsored the Yasawa School xmas party, the top 10 children received a small radio each, we sent lollies, chips, xmas crackers etc to the school.
These children have never had a xmas party with so many gifts and they were extremely excited.
Headmaster Bai is on his way back to the mainland to pick up another shipment of schoolbooks that T&G have recently sent over.
The Companies financial support is really making an impact on the school and the children and we are really excited to be able to make a difference in their lives.
There is a new company Logo sign being put up at the school entrance and once this is up we will be receiving more photos from the school.

Bukama Village School
BUKAMA SCHOOL YASAWA VILLAGE FIJI
Earlier this year our Managing Director, Mike Stevenson, was holidaying in Fiji and visited a small isolated school in the Yasawa Islands. There are around 90 students at this school. They have very limited resources, the basic things we take for granted in our schools such as pencils, paper pens etc are in very short supply. These children were in desperate need of this equipment. Mike spent 1/2 a day in the school with the Headmaster and they really hit it off.
Transport & General Engineering Ltd have taken on sponsoring Bukama Village School and financially supporting them. With a very kind contribution from our local OPD store we sent them a large supply of exercise books, pencils, rubbers, rulers, calculators etc, we also shopped at Whitcoulls and got some story books, charts, paints, felts etc.
We have been keeping in constant contact with Headmaster Bai, and he informed us they have received all the boxes and opened them with great excitement. We have also sent a Laptop, colour printer, reams of paper, and once again our friend Denise from Waikato OPD came to the party with some Netballs, bibs and pumps. In the second shipment we included some disposable cameras and a supply of Transport Trailers caps; the caps are now part of the school uniform and we have some great photos. A generator for the school has also been purchased to operate the computer and printer, Managing Director Mike Stevenson can be seen handing this over to Headmaster Bai.
T&G is currently working with the school on the 2009 programme.
If you would like to know more about Project Yasawa please contact Mike Stevenson.
